The idea for this app comes from 2009, when Oscar Dias founded Softerize. Due to different reasons, this project was postponed several times, being concluded only in 2012. It’s goal is to be a hub for people interested in green topics.

Eventhough global warming is a frequent subject of TV shows and magazine articles, the discussion about sustainability goes beyond that. The growing population and consumption in a planet with limited resources leads to economic, environment and social challenges.

In March 2nd 2014 the source code was made open source and freely available at https://github.com/oscardias/showthatyouhelp.
